To service the turn signal switch, remove the steering wheel and upper steering column shroud. Take out the lower shroud screws and disconnect the electrical connectors from both multi-function switches. Remove the screws holding the switch, then reinstall by reversing the steps.

In order to fix the turn signal switch, one has to disconnect battery ground, take off the ignition switch lock cylinder, and unscrew the steering column shrouds. Then, delete the multi-function switch. To install, simply reverse the process, although battery reconnection can lead to short-term difficulties with the drive that needs relearning of up to 16 km (10 mi) of driving.
