How to remove and install the Turn Signal Switch on the steering column of a 1993-2011 Ford Ranger?

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and if equipped with an airbag, also disconnect the positive cable. For 1993 and 1994 models, remove the steering wheel. On 2011 models, take out the key lock cylinder and, if present, the tilt lever handle. Remove the steering column lower cover and shrouds, ensuring to take off the upper and lower steering column covers on 2011 models. Unscrew the two screws that secure the Turn Signal Switch assembly to the steering column. Use a small screwdriver to release the tangs and pull the electrical connector(s) from the switch. After that, remove the switch assembly. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, ensuring the horn harness grommet is positioned correctly, and check the steering column and switch for proper operation.
