A gentle pull on the lumbar knob should be distributed evenly across both sides to protect it from damage while the screw under the knob on the side shield is removed. Carefully remove the power seat knob by prying it off from the side shield to avoid any scratches on the surface before taking out the front side shield screw. First remove the front clip as well as the rear retention mechanism from the side shield before completely separating it. The 6-way power seat switch on the side shield requires removal by dislodging its two screws. Affix the new 6-way power seat switch to the side shield through its installation by using two screws. Secure the front side shield screw only after you connect the rear and middle side shield retainers. Set the power seat knob into position while fixing the screw underneath the lumbar knob before securing the lumbar knob and reinstalling the recliner handle with its screw as well as the handle cover. The service ends with reconnecting the 6-way power seat switch electrical connector followed by reinstalling the targeted seat and activating the SRS power supply.
