Multifunction Switch

Service and repair of the turn signal switch starts with steering wheel detachment. You should deploy the steering column to its full decent while stretching it all the way forward until the front wheels align perfectly straight. First remove the two lower screws from the steering column shroud before taking out the lower shroud and finally the upper shroud. First disconnect the electrical connector of the multifunction switch before unscrewing its two screws. Remove the multifunction switch from the Clock Spring by releasing its two tabs along with sliding the switch out. The installation process ends with following the reverse order of removal steps.

A proper service or repair of the turn signal switch requires removing the steering wheel as a first step. End your task by making the steering column reach full downward tilt then stretch it until the front wheels face forward. The servicing process begins with unscrewing the two lower steering column shroud screws which require removal prior to taking out the lower steering column shroud and eventually the upper steering column shroud. The service begins by unfastening the multifunction switch screws followed by disconnecting the electrical wire. You should release the two tabs before pulling the multifunction switch from the Clock Spring. Reinstallation of this component should follow the order of steps in reverse.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
