Throttle Cable

Service and repair of throttle cable and linkage must start with removing the screws on the accelerator control splash shield. First disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body before tightening the brackets by squeezing its tabs. The next step requires separation of the accelerator cable from its retainer components before fully extracting it from the rubber plunger. The next step requires removal of the rubber plunger from the accelerator pedal before disconnecting the accelerator cable from its mounting position on the pedal assembly. Pull the boot to open position before taking out the boot along with cable from its dash panel home to place in the engine compartment. This completes the accelerator cable removal process. To install the part follow the opposite steps of removal.
