The first step for servicing the suction accumulator to evaporator line in the HVAC system involves a refrigerant recovery process followed by disconnecting the spring lock coupling and discarding O-ring seals. The disconnection procedure must be applied to the second spring lock coupling and the suction accumulator-to-evaporator line should be removed before O-ring seals are discarded. Install new O-ring seals that got PAG oil lubrication by following the opposite steps of removal. The correct amount of clean PAG oil should be used for lubricating the refrigerant system. The final steps require evacuation and leaking and charging of the refrigerant system to conclude the process.

Recovery of refrigerant should start before servicing the suction accumulator to evaporator line. The service requires you to detach the spring lock coupling while disposing of its O-ring seals. Discard both O-ring seals after completing the spring lock coupling service procedure on the second component. Remove the suction accumulator-to-evaporator line. Install new O-ring seals which should be pre-lubricated with PAG oil when performing installation of the parts. Reverse the disassembly steps during this process. A correct amount of clean PAG oil should be used to lubricate the refrigerant system. Evacuation and leak testing should be performed before charging the refrigeration system. A suction accumulator replacement needs to be done only when contamination exists because of compressor failure or damage occurs to the accumulator.

Remove the suction accumulator-to-evaporator line.

Next, disconnect the spring lock coupling at the evaporator core inlet and discard the O-ring seals.

Reverse the removal procedure, ensuring to install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil and lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.

Disconnect the spring lock coupling at the evaporator core inlet, also discarding the O-ring seals.
