Connector Tube

The service and repair of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system module tube first requires a vehicle hoist position in NEUTRAL mode. The first step includes removing and cleaning the four bolts securing the transaxle roll restrictor brace before applying threadlocker to threads then reassembling and tightening these bolts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). Secondly remove the bolt and transaxle roll restrictor brace and afterward clean all bolts with a wire brush before applying threadlocker for 48 Nm (35 lb-ft) torque during installation. Disconnect the EGR system module-to-EGR system module tube fitting before tightening it to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) torque during reinstallation. The EGR system module tube must be removed from its fitting point on the RH exhaust manifold before disconnection then reattachment with 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) torque. Perform the process completion through backward implementation of removal steps.

Position the vehicle on a hoist with it in NEUTRAL.
