To service the EGR system module tube, remove the battery tray for the 5.4L 4V engine. Disconnect the tube from the module and exhaust manifold fittings, then remove it. Reinstall by tightening to 39 Nm (29 lb-ft) for the 4.0L SOHC and 42 Nm (31 lb-ft) for the 5.4L 4V engine.
