Oil Pan Baffle Installation and Repair Tips for 2007 Ford Fusion

  • Q: How to service and repair the oil pan baffle while ensuring cleanliness during engine repair procedures on 2007 Ford Fusion?
A: In order to fix the oil pan baffle, keep clean to prevent engine failure. Clamp the car to a hoist, then strip the car of the oil pump screen and pickup tube, and then the eight nuts that hold the baffle. Clamp the smaller nuts together to 5 Nm and the bigger ones to 15 Nm, and then 45 degrees more. Installation procedure is reversed.
