First disconnect the windshield wiper pivot shaft before separating the mounting arm from the cowl top vent panels. First remove the dash panel access cover followed by disconnection of the retaining clip and windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft from the windshield wiper motor. The wiper motor service procedure begins by disconnecting the electrical connector followed by removing the bolts until the entire motor can be removed. Start by returning the retaining clip to the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft and position the windshield wiper motor into the dash panel before bolt installation. Reconnect the electrical connector before mounting the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft to the motor position by pressing upward to achieve proper alignment. To finish the installation procedure replace the access cover which is located in both the dash panel and the cowl top vent panels.
