How to Service and Repair Rear Coil Springs on 2000 Ford Ranger?

In order to replace the rear coil spring, lift the car up, place safety stands and take the wheel off. A Hi-Lift Jack is used to hold the rear axle in position and the spring is removed by loosening nuts and U-bolts and removing the spring plate. In the case of 4x4s, the spacer of the rear spring is removed. Install the new spring backwards.
