A proper service or repair of the fan shroud starts by loosening the bolts and taking off the drive belt. Beside bolt removal, install the fan shroud onto the fan blade. The finger guard needs to be removed when servicing fan shroud on vehicles that do not possess A/C. First detach the fan blade by removing its bolts and the fan clutch by taking off its corresponding bolts and afterward remove the bolts securing the water pump pulley. Finally, remove the fan shroud. You should carry out the reverse process for installation.
