The friction surface of the flywheel requires inspection for cracks and hot spots and scoring; machine the friction surface for found damage but replace the ring gear if tooth damage occurs. Apply Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA complying with Ford specification WSK-M2G351-A5 as an equivalent treatment to the flywheel-to-crankshaft bolt threads during installation. Installation of the flywheel begins with placing it correctly on the crankshaft before bolting it on while using the specified torque sequence for tightening. Reinstall the disc followed by the pressure plate.
