    A: A technician should start coil spring service and repair by taking measurements between the hub center and fender lip on a level-grounded vehicle while also removing hub caps or wheel covers. Start by taking off the wheel and tire from the rear position before placing a jack stand under the suspension arm and bushing. Remove all bolts along with flag nuts before separating the stabilizer bar bracket. The support of the lower control arm must come before shock absorber mounting fastener removal to protect associated components from damage. Lift the shock absorber from its position by removing the bolt and nut before taking out the shock absorber. Then remove the washer and bushing. First remove the trackbar arm from the rear wheel spindle while discarding all four washers and flag bolts together with the nuts. Lower the lower control arm using the jack stand until you can take out the rear spring (part number 5560) together with the rear spring center mounting insulator as an assembly. Begin rear spring installation by setting the rear spring insulator first followed by correctly placing the rear spring center mounting insulator. Install the rear spring together with its rear spring center mounting insulator by placing it into the lower control arm. Use the jack stand to elevate the rear suspension arm and bushing as you use sandpaper to guide the rear spring center mounting insulator until it fits into the underbody spring seat. After placing the trackbar into the rear wheel spindle you should put the lower control arm onto the jack stand before installing new flag bolts and four washers together with new nuts that will remain untightened. Place new bushing and washer so their cupped faces face away from each other before installing the bushing and washer with a new nut. Position the shock absorber followed by using a new bolt for installation. Adjust the suspension height until the hub center reaches the same height as the fender lip that matched the curb height measurement and then torque the nuts. Secure the stabilizer bar bracket along with its nut and retainer assembly before installing the new bolts together with flag nuts. Lower the vehicle until only half of it remains off the floor then put on the rear brake hose support bracket bolt then fit the wheel and tire before doing a wheel alignment check if needed.
