How to service and repair the evaporator core on 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis?

To service the evaporator core, disconnection of the battery, refrigerant discharge and removal of A/C evaporator housing can be done by unscrewing six screws and cutting the seal. Uncouple the suction accumulator/ drier, then take out the two parts. To install, do the reverse, with the right PAG compressor oil, and lubricate the O-ring seal.
