  A: Start service and repair of the upper intake manifold by disconnecting the battery ground cable followed by removing the air cleaner assembly and air cleaner outlet tube. The service procedure starts by draining part of engine coolant while you disconnect the throttle body heater hose. First disconnect the pin-type retainers together with the snow shield and remove the speed control actuator cable and accelerator cable from the throttle body before placing the accelerator cable bracket to the side.
