Service personnel must disconnect the evaporator from the compressor suction line through the suction accumulator/drier according to procedures which include spring lock coupling disconnect and connection methods. The service begins with disconnecting the suction accumulator/drier from the A/C evaporator core while protecting the fitting and tube using a back up wrench. First remove the screw which keeps the A/C accumulator mounting bracket in place on the A/C evaporator core then extract the suction accumulator/drier. Unfasten the insulation cover of the suction accumulator/drier before you disconnect its mounting bracket from the A/C accumulator. The installation demands executing the previous removal steps while using PAG compressor oil YN-12-CF7AZ-19589-DA or equivalent which maintains Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B to service the suction accumulator/drier and oiling the O-ring seal with similar PAG YN-12-CF7AZ-19589-DA or other equivalent oil. A back up wrench should be present during installation to protect the fitting along with the tube from damage.
