To access the lower steering column opening start by removing the screw from the panel along with shifting the parking brake release handle before unscrewing the panel and grasping it to remove retaining clips. The procedure requires uninstalling five screws which maintain the lower steering column opening finish panel reinforcement before you can remove four screws from the instrument panel reinforcement brace. You should position the selector lever indicator cable away by unscrewing its attachment and disconnecting it.
