How to Service and Repair the Column Automatic Transmission Shifter on Ford Crown Victoria?

When servicing the column shifter, be on the safe side by removing the battery and auxiliary power. Take away the lower steering column finish panel with the screws of the reinforcements. Disconnect indicator cable on the switch lever and lock cylinder of ignition switch. Disassemble the steering column shroud, unplug the TCS harness and change the gearshift lever pin. Installation Reverse this to re-install.
