    A: A driver should first support and elevate the vehicle to perform maintenance on the two-piece driveshaft. You should index-mark the driveshaft to the rear axle pinion flange before removing the four bolts that disconnect the rear driveshaft section. Provide support to the coupling shaft then take out the two retaining bolts on the center bearing bracket while having the parking brake locked. Service technicians need to remove the four coupling driveshaft bolts which attached to the parking brake assembly during servicing of E-450 vehicles. The installation of a new output flange on the parking brake assembly should be performed if required. The next step requires disconnection of the coupling shaft from the parking brake assembly. Position the driveshaft while keeping an eye on the index marks and secure the four coupling shaft bolts prior to unblocking the parking brake. Secure the coupling shaft while positioning the center bearing along with its bracket before installing the center bearing bracket bolts. Place the rear driveshaft segment while lining up its index marks and bolt in place the four driveshaft-to-rear axle bolts. Use Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA or an equivalent product from WSK-M2G351-A5 Ford specification to coat threads of unavailable new bolts. After support removal, proceed to lower the vehicle.
