    A: Service of the HVAC accumulator requires execution of the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure initially. Start by disconnecting both the A/C cycling switch along with its mounting nuts from the A/C manifold and tube mounting bracket. The service requires disconnecting the suction accumulator ports from the A/C manifold and tube then plugging them to stop the entry of dirt or moisture. You must first remove two mounting nuts from the suction accumulator mounting bracket before you can disconnect the suction line from the A/C evaporator core while plugging all ports to stop contamination. Complete the procedure by removing the suction accumulator from the appliance. The installation follows all steps in reverse order after which PAG Compressor Oil YN-12-C or an equivalent oil with WSH-M1C231-B Ford specification should be used to lubricate the suction accumulator.
