  • Q: How to service the Hydro-Max brake booster on 2001 Ford Excursion?
    A: Begin hydro-maintenance of the booster by disconnecting the battery. Start by removing the support bracket bolt together with its matching nut before unfastening the ground wire nut and ground wire. Uncap the four master cylinder nuts before setting the master cylinder to the side. Start the service of the Hydro-Max brake booster by unplugging the flow switch electrical connector and removing the electric motor relay bolt. First remove the Brake Pedal Position switch self-locking pin from the steering column cover before you detach the BPP switch along with the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal. Disconnect both the electric connector of the electric pump and motor assembly as well as the hydraulic fluid return hose. After removing the Hydro-Max booster nuts will come the hydraulic fluid supply line nut which allows the full extraction of the Hydro-Max booster. Start by connecting the hydraulic fluid line before you fasten the Hydro-Max hardware components. After completion, follow the reverse order of all the steps used for removal.
