The vacuum line attachment should be disconnected before you remove the plenum chamber top by unscrewing its 13 screws. After removing the top portion above the blend door assembly you should remove the blend door assembly then the heater core. When installing the components repeat the reverse order of removal steps while using Merpol(R) which follows Ford specification ESE-M99B144-B or falling back to using plain water for coolant hose lubrication.
