2001 Ford Explorer Sport Blower Motor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the front blower motor on 2001 Ford Explorer Sport?
A: Before proceeding with front blower motor service start by making the vehicle ready for removal. Before beginning start by disconnecting the battery ground cable and taking off the air cleaner assembly. If working on the front blower motor start by detaching the speed control servo through the bolt removal and electrical connector disconnection before setting the servo to the side. The expansion tank for coolant and the washer reservoir need to relocate so remove their securing screws and nuts first. Unfasten the blower motor from its position after removing the electrical connector and vent hose together with detaching the four securing screws. The reverse steps will be used for reinstallation.
