Begin by taking out the air cleaner assembly followed by disconnecting of the A/C manifold and tube from the A/C condenser core along with discarding the O-ring seal. The installation requires a new O-ring seal which must be lubricated with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or equivalent product specified by Ford as WSH-M1C231-B. The vehicle needs to be lifted then technicians must remove the lower air deflector through seven screw and two pin-type retainer removal. Unfasten transmission oil cooler lines from the condenser core while removing the bolts to complete the condenser removal. The installation should follow these steps while adding oil to a new A/C condenser core and including a new A/C evaporator core orifice. The last task involves evacuating then testing for leaks before charging the A/C system.
