A repair or service operation on the Idle Control Valve must start with disconnecting the battery ground cable. You should start by taking off the throttle bypass hose then detach the electrical connector of the Idle Control Valve. Once you remove the bolts from the Idle Control Valve it can be extracted from its place. When installing the Idle Control Valve, position it properly first then proceed with a two-step bolt tightening process starting at 10 Nm (89 Lb-In) then perform another 90-degree tightening rotation. Reconnecting the throttle bypass hose and the Idle Control Valve electrical connector should proceed the battery ground cable reinstallation.
