How to service the front door jamb switch on 2001 Ford Taurus?

Service of the front door ajar switch begins with removing the front door trim panel followed by setting aside the watershield. After disconnecting the interior door handle cable guide proceed by taking out the window glass run channel bolt and center window glass support bolts before placing everything to the side. The exterior door handle actuating rod requires disconnection through locking the clip open followed by unclipping the lock rod from the lock cylinder. Position both the electrical connectors and front door latch bolts out of the way before putting aside the front door latch and cable assembly. You will need to lift the locking tab at the lower end of the door ajar switch then rotate it counterclockwise to remove the component. The reverse installation process should be used.
