Service of the front door ajar switch requires first removing the front door trim panel while setting the watershield aside. Separate the cable guide of the interior handle while also removing the bolt at the window glass run channel. The bolts need to be taken out with the center window glass support set aside before the exterior door handle actuating rod can be disconnected by opening its locking clip. Use a flat tool to remove the lock rod from the lock cylinder then take out the door latch bolts including the electrical connector(s) removal. You must set aside the front door latch and cable assembly before removing the door ajar switch by lifting the locking tab at the lower end followed by a counterclockwise rotation. You should perform the opposite steps during installation.
