How to service and repair the front parking brake cable and conduit on 2001 Ford Taurus?

Before working on front parking brake cable along with conduit you must first release the park brake system. You should start by taking out the scuff plate plus drawing back the carpet so you can feed the front parking brake cable and conduit grommet through the floor pan. You must separate the front parking brake cable and conduit when you squeeze its retaining clip to pull them from the parking brake control. Lift the vehicle by hoist to access the components before using the rod along with the adjustment nut to extract the front parking brake cable and conduit from the adjuster. Remove the cable and conduit from the body bracket after squeezing the retainer to detach them. Installation of this part follows the reversal of all removal steps until the parking brake cable is properly adjusted.
