First remove the metal cover by undoing its screws before disconnecting the wire harness connector of the A/C electronic blend door actuator and unfastening its screws. Next proceed to remove the A/C air intake damper assist spring after which operate the locking ramp to extract the A/C damper door shaft off from the air temperature control door shaft but ensure no bending damage to the fragile A/C damper door shaft.
