How to Address Issues with the Heater Core in a Lincoln Continental?

A person must remove the instrument panel first to repair the heater core. The radiator should have its coolant drainage decreased until the heater core position becomes visible. Screw removal and disconnecting the electrical connector from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) forms the first step before disconnecting the heater water hoses from the heater core. Proceed with removing screws which leads to revealing first the A/C electronic blend door actuator through disconnecting of the wire harness connector and unscrewing the attached fasteners. The technician must remove the A/C air intake flue damper assist spring before depressing the locking ramp to extract the A/C damper door shaft from the air temperature control door shaft and maintains the fragile A/C damper door shaft free from bending deformation. Detach the A/C evaporator case outlet door shaft while avoiding any damage that might occur to the lever which is similarly breakable. After removing the screws, proceed with removing the heater core cover and then the heater core cover seal until you pull out the heater core. Install the heater water hoses after reversing the removal sequence by using Rubber Suspension Insulator Lube E25Y-19553-A or another product that meets Ford specification ESF-M99B112-A.
