How to service the windshield wiper motor on 2001 Mercury Mountaineer?

To service the windshield wiper motor, remove LH pivot arm, disengage retainer tab; remove LH cowl screw and disconnect washer hose; release retainers and remove panel. Unsnap motor clip from RH arm and pivot, separate RH and LH, disconnect connector and ground strap, remove motor. Reinstall in reverse; motor nonrepairable.
