- Q: How to service the A/C Hose from the Compressor to the Condenser Discharge on 2002 Ford Crown Victoria?A: The service process for the HVAC hose/line which connects the compressor to the condenser discharge requires disconnecting the battery ground cable while collecting refrigerant. Disconnect the wire harness connector at the A/C pressure cut-off switch before removing the switch device. First disconnect the nut which keeps the A/C compressor joined to the condenser discharge line to remove this line from the A/C manifold and tube according to the spring lock coupling disconnect guidelines. To proceed with the removal remove the line from the A/C condenser core followed by complete removal of the line. The reverse installation process should begin with application of PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent matching Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B to the O-ring seal before performing the steps in reverse order.
