2002 Ford E-250 Econoline Exhaust Manifold Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the LH exhaust manifold on 2002 Ford E-250 Econoline?
A: Start exhaust manifold servicing by taking out the oil level indicator extension together with the tube and O-ring then discard them both. After supporting the vehicle you should remove the engine cover. The service of LH exhaust manifold begins by disconnecting LH Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) electrical connector and removing Y-pipe connecting bolts to the exhaust manifold. The removal of LH exhaust manifold requires you to remove the LH stud bolts as well as bolts in order to separate the manifold apart from its gasket. Discard the old gasket. The new gasket should be installed when replacing components while following the bolt tightening sequence in reverse order during reinstallation.
