Start exhaust manifold servicing by taking out the oil level indicator extension together with the tube and O-ring then discard them both. After supporting the vehicle you should remove the engine cover. The service of LH exhaust manifold begins by disconnecting LH Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) electrical connector and removing Y-pipe connecting bolts to the exhaust manifold. The removal of LH exhaust manifold requires you to remove the LH stud bolts as well as bolts in order to separate the manifold apart from its gasket. Discard the old gasket. The new gasket should be installed when replacing components while following the bolt tightening sequence in reverse order during reinstallation.

Position the vehicle on a hoist with it in neutral.

Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.

Clean the sealing surfaces using metal surface prep, ensuring no abrasive tools are used to avoid damage.

Ensure the vehicle is in neutral and positioned on a hoist.

Take out the eight nuts and the exhaust manifold itself, discarding the old exhaust manifold gasket.

Raise and support the vehicle, then disconnect the exhaust Y-pipe from the right exhaust manifold.

Remove the nuts securing the manifold.

Raise and support the vehicle, then remove the two nuts connecting the three-way catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold and disconnect the Y-pipe from the right-hand exhaust manifold.

Position the Y-pipe flange and install two new right-hand and two new left-hand nuts, tightening them to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Remove the nuts securing the manifold.

Ensure to tighten the components in the specified sequence and follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Reverse the removal steps and use a new exhaust manifold gasket.

The nuts securing the manifold, followed by the right front wheel and tire.

Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Position the Y-pipe flange and install the two nuts, tightening them to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).

Take out the right front inner fender well.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the right front inner fender well.

Tighten the eight new nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Position the vehicle on a hoist with it in NEUTRAL.

Reposition the Y-pipe flange and install the two right-hand and two left-hand nuts, tightening them to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Raise and support the vehicle, then remove the engine cover.

Reverse the removal procedure.

Reverse the removal procedure, ensuring all components are securely fastened.

Remove the nuts, lower the vehicle, and take off the exhaust manifold along with its nuts, discarding the exhaust manifold gaskets.

Reverse the removal procedure, ensuring to follow the correct exhaust manifold bolt sequence.

Remove the nut and the oil level indicator tube again, ensuring to discard the oil level indicator tube O-ring.

Raise and support the vehicle.
