- Q: How to service and repair the left-hand exhaust manifold on 2002 Ford Expedition?A: Start the process of left-hand exhaust manifold servicing or repair by securely raising the vehicle in place. The service on the 4x4 models requires removal of both the front wheel opening molding together with the front fender splash shield. The Romeo (4.6L) requires removal of the hardware consisting of brake booster vacuum hose along with its bracket before separating the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve from the exhaust manifold tube. The service requires disconnecting the electrical connector of the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor followed by sensor removal, then disconnecting the upper and lower EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube fittings.
