You should then remove the combination of nut and bolt before disposing of the nut. Uninstall the bolt along with the flag nut and the shock absorber combined with the spring element before discarding the flag nut. Install a proper spring compressor that will enable spring compression until the shock absorber slot isainless of strain. Thereafter you can detach the shock absorber by removing the nut while holding the flats of the washer and disposing of the nut portion. You must remove the washer after the bushing and upper mount then proceed to take out the insulator with the dust shield. The entire repair sequence can be finished by performing the reverse order of removal steps for the installation.
