Q: How to Service the Front Auxiliary A/C Hose for Evaporator Outlet and Inlet on 2002 Mercury Villager?
A: A technician starts the front auxiliary A/C evaporator inlet and outlet maintenance by removing refrigerant followed by vehicle lifting. First remove all bolts from the torsion bar then drop the control arm frame mounting bracket after freeing its bolts. Disconnect all peanut fittings while plugging each port to stop contaminating agents from entering. Proceed by taking out all screws and bracket from the auxiliary A/C inlet and outlet lines bracket. Lower the vehicle and disconnect the auxiliary A/C suction accumulator line nut before plugging all ports to stop contamina Starting with the A/C hose bracket bolt removal, workers must uninstall the upper A/C evaporator tube support bracket by removing the bolt then remove the lower A/C evaporator tube support bracket by taking out the bolt before removing the A/C evaporator tube support bracket nut. Exceptionally plug all ports before taking out the auxiliary A/C evaporator inlet and outlet lines. During installation follow the removal procedure step by step while lubricating the new O-ring with PAG Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA that fulfills Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
