How to service and repair the automatic transmission shifter on 2003 Ford F-150?

In order to service and repair the automatic transmission shifter, one should remove ignition switch lock cylinder and upper steering column shroud at first. Next, unscrew the electrical connector and leave out the gearshift lever by throwing away the gearshift lever pin which is to be substituted. Lastly, re-attach gearshift lever by following the reverse process.
