Service of the rear window wiper motor requires starting with battery disconnect and positioning the wiper motor to its park setting. Lift the plastic cap on the wiper arm before loosening the nut by two turns. Then lift the wiper arm to release it from the taper and move it to the side to finally remove the nut and arm. Begin by removing the liftgate trim panel after unscrewing all the pull handle covers along with the screws and handle respectively, then the bolt covers and their screws. The wiper motor electrical connector should be detached followed by the ground lead and three bolts must be removed from the rear wiper motor and its mounting plate. Make sure to install the new motor in the parked position while reversing your removal procedures before conducting a wiper operation check.
