Before working on the rear window wiper motor you must disconnect the battery along with placing the motor in park position. The wiper arm can be removed by first loosening the nut two turns under the plastic cap and moving the wiper arm aside from the taper to finally take off the nut along with the arm. Begin by removing the liftgate trim panel through the process of pulling away the handle covers together with their screws and handle before removing the bolt covers and their corresponding screws. Disengage the wiper motor electrical connector while removing the ground lead for wiper motor removal and extraction of the mounting plate by unfastening the three bolts. Installation of the new motor requires using the parked position followed by a reversal of removal steps until wiper operation can be tested.
