How to service the EGR valve on 2003 Ford Ranger?

In order to service EGR valve, drain cooling system, disconnect battery, and take off rear driveshaft. Un screw the bolts of the catalytic converter and prop the transmission. Disassemble the crossmember, drop the transmission, cut off the EGR coolant line and take out the EGR valve. Installation undo, with new gaskets.
