The first step involves removing the RH C-pillar trim panel followed by the RH lower C-pillar trim panel and retrieving all pin-type retainers during the process. Start by disconnecting the antenna lead-in cable from its route and follow the next steps by taking off the RH lower A-pillar trim panel and the RH B-pillar trim panel before disconnecting the antenna lead-in cable for a second time. When replacing the antenna lead-in cable those cables should overlay the original wiring harness that will be secured by wire ties before continuing. Old cable ends must be isolated or tied in place to stop the creation of noise interference. The installation process requires installation of the new lead-in antenna cable above the existing one and use of wire ties to secure it before directing the conductor through the rocker panel wiring harness conduit. Next, secure the antenna lead-in cable before reinstalling the RH B-pillar trim panel followed by the RH lower A-pillar trim panel until finally installing and properly placing the RH lower C-pillar trim panel while installing its pin-type retainers. After reattaching the RH C-pillar trim panel put on the battery ground cable again.
