How to service and repair the fuel tank unit on 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis?

In order to service the fuel tank unit, drain the pressure transducer and detach the fuel tank. Wipe the pump part, strip off the fuel pump and get rid of the gasket. Wipe the flanges, reattach a new gasket, set the pump, work on the bolts using a star pattern, reattach the transducer, and replace the tank.
