How to Service the Accelerator Cable and Linkage on 2003 Mercury Marauder?

In order to service throttle cable, loosen the bolts of accelerator splash shield, disconnect accelerator and speed control cables. Unscrew the accelerator cable out of the bracket and pedal, same in the case of memory pedals. Lastly, take the cable retainer out and pull the cable across the dash panel. Installation instructions are reversed.
