2004 Ford E-250 Antenna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the radio antenna on 2004 Ford E-250?
A: One must start antenna base service by taking out the radio antenna mast which functions as a fixed mast type just like a standard 3-step telescoping antenna. The removal of antenna base begins with antenna base cap uninstallation followed by screw removal and completion with lifting the antenna base. You should disconnect the radio antenna lead in cable from the antenna base before taking out the antenna completely. Through the removal of screws and pushpin the fender splash shield can be detached. The radio antenna lead in cable and grommet need to be placed inside the passenger area before removing the instrument panel finish panel plus the cowl side trim panel. Remove the radio chassis after disconnecting the retainers from both the wiring harness and the wiring harness trough and the radio antenna in cable. Remove the final component of the radio antenna lead in cable from the system. The installation process requires executing the reverse steps of removal.
