Start the replacement by disassembling the plenum chamber along with the dash panel seal. The evaporator core service begins with disconnecting the air inlet vacuum control motor vacuum connector from its assembly while detaching the wire harness from the evaporator core cover. The plenum chamber receives two major components for removal which include both the blower resistor and blower motor speed control and their wire harnesses after unscrewing all attachment points. The bottom evaporator core cover must have its four screws removed before taking out all screws from under the cover and placing it aside. Begin by removing the five screws located on the upper evaporator core cover and continue by taking off the remaining screws to detach first the evaporator core cover followed by the evaporator core itself. The reverse steps from removal should be followed for installation.
