2004 Ford Focus A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Condenser Core on 2004 Ford Focus?
A: The service process for condenser core repair requires hoisting the vehicle with gear selector in NEUTRAL position for refrigerant recovery. The next step requires removing the lower car radiator air deflector before disconnecting the refrigerant tubing from the condenser core which leads to discarding the O-ring seals. The left-hand side of radiator support requires transmission jack support during servicing as displayed in the provided image. A similar tool must be used to complete the right-hand side support installation. Unclip the condenser pin after removing the four lower radiator support bolts so you can pull the condenser core to the side for removal. Reverse the removal steps to install new O-ring seals with PAG oil lubrication followed by the correct amount of clean PAG oil lubrication of the refrigerant system. The refrigerant system requires evacuation followed by leak testing and then gets charged.
