How to remove the Center Console Base on 2005 Lincoln LS?

A proper floor console removal requires seating the seats in place before disconnecting the battery. To start you need to remove the floor console storage bin through a process that requires unscrewing the three pieces on the armrest and storage bin screw then removing the pin-type retainer and unplugging the electrical connectors. The floor console front finish panel requires upward pulling from its front position until retainers release after disconnecting electrical connectors. Afterward remove the floor console center finish panel by taking out the two screws and the floor console cup holder as needed. You should use a screwdriver to take out the two front screws along with the three rear screws from the floor console before tightening each rear screw to 4 Nm (35 lb-in) when reinstalling. You must lift the console from the rear side before moving it backward to separate the heater ducts from the instrument panel. After that remove the nut with the floor console keeping in mind to disconnect the electrical connector. Tighten it to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when reassembling. After removing the floor console, reverse all the removal steps for proper installation.
