How to service the Exhaust Manifold LH on 2004 Mercury Marauder?

Service of the Exhaust Manifold LH requires that you position the vehicle on a hoist in the NEUTRAL transmission gear position. The service of Exhaust Manifold LH begins with disconnecting the negative battery cable followed by tire and wheel removal from the left front position. The service for the Exhaust Manifold LH starts with piping out the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold together with disconnecting the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system module tube from the manifold. First you need to remove both components including the heated oxygen sensor and the exhaust manifold heat shield from the system. Take out the eight nuts fastening the exhaust manifold after removing its gasket. Finalizing the installation requires executing the steps that were reversed for removal.
