How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on 2004 Mercury Monterey?

In order to service throttle cable/linkage, take out air cleaner outlet tube in case accelerator cable bracket is taken off. The order is shown in the figure. When using grommet, take off separator clip, squeeze tabs and free cable on left-hand shock-tower and air cleaner housing clips. Reverse, at pedal, release of rubber plunger, draw at back. Undo by undoing.
